I just wanted affordable health insurance. This war will quickly cost more than extending the ACA subsidies would have.

It's like it's 1979 all over again.

Elon fans are going to be more upset that he allowed a Muslim to have prayer breaks on company premises than anything else in the article.

Feels like maybe the files didn't so much exonerate Trump like he claimed.

I'm sure the House will have Hillary Clinton come testify again after hearing these explosive relevations.

Ten years to build it back? We got ten years out of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action even with Republicans doing every thing they could to sabotage the deal and Trump pulling us out of it.

Even under Trump's standard of success, this war is a failure.

I mean, if we hadn't created an economy that tilted so heavily toward the wealthy, maybe more families could afford to work fewer hours and be home to cook and eat together.

I sure don't know how former Judge Amber Givens beat incumbent DA John Creuzot to become the next Dallas County District Attorney.

At least when Craig Watkins lost, you could see it coming.

Despite the stupidity of the whole thing (let the voters ducking decide), if you were interested at all in what Republican voters in Texas thought, you'd endorse the one who got the plurality, though I suspect he will endorse the other one.

I feel bad for the guy who can't tell the difference between an elevator and an escalator.

I assume he means a "Trump" two weeks like his health care plan that he promised would come out in two weeks about a decade ago and is still nowhere to be found.

Seems like we need to stop letting Montana have elected officials until we find out why they're so needlessly violent.

But yes, for the purposes of getting elected, he was as close to a home stater as any of the others and isn't a good comparison with other elections.

Those of us who were actually born here don't consider someone born in New Haven, Connecticut to be a home-stater.

He keeps bragging about numbers that got bigger because the state got bigger. His percentage of the vote in 2016 and 2020 were way down from Romney and McCain. And all three were way down from GWB.

It's like gloating about how you got more votes than George Washington.

...But that's okay, because I'm pinning my hopes for the future on the next big shipment of Stinger missiles to that ragtag bunch of mujahideen heroes in Afghanistan!"

"Selling cocaine to cocaine dealers doesn't really compare to overthrowing democratically elected governments like the US did in Guatemala, Chile, Nicaragua, uh... oh, Iran!? Because spoiler alert, those didn't work out so great...

And that he is able to bully people by rewriting the laws on the books is a real asshole move and a disgrace to this state.

If the Legislature wanted to change the law to include supporting your trans child as child abuse, they had ample opportunity to do so. They didn't.

If the Legislature wanted to require forced conversion therapy, they could have done so. They didn't.

Paxton's opinion of the law is shit.

In my opinion a Spanish version of that comic with the birds who are also newspaper reporters would definitely come before anything else.

That’s cray.

Never really thought about how my parents were teenagers when Alaska and Hawaii became states.

Why would a person, now of all times, give in to Trump? He’s about as weak as he’s ever been.

04.03.2026 12:37 πŸ‘ 4 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

He’ll even just changing jobs can lead to chaos. I’ve had to go a month without medication waiting for my new insurance company to get around to β€˜preapproving’ my meds after a job change and being forced into a Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Texas plan.

That’s okay though because nobody wanted lower prices or a better economy when we voted in 2024. We were all like, β€œI hope he’s lying about not going to war with Iran.”

Really tired of these "small government" conservatives being all up in my and my family's business in so many areas.

Hard to believe it's this group of yahoos who are going to make us have to move out of the state that's been my family's home for 200 years.

Fucking Ken Paxton isn't even a Texan.

Trump may be surprised to learn that Ukraine has an entirely different Constitution than we have.

I'm surprised no one in the Administration has convinced him that he can fire judges.

Former Ogden police officer sentenced to 30 days jail on felony counts outlining sexual misdeeds A former Ogden police officer was sentenced to 30 days jail and received a suspended prison term on three felony counts outlining sexual misdeeds involving minors.

30 days in county for sexual assault on AN INFANT and for keeping CSAM taken from his job as a school resource officer and reviewing them in his home. Republican judge says 30 days are β€˜consequences’ for what he did. Seems like every GOPer is either a pedo or is willing to go super easy on pedos.
