we’re reading an abridged version from the “classic starts” series. & the movie is the newer (2020?) one which i haven’t seen but i’m having regrets not going for the one from my childhood 😆

the cool thing about homeschooling is i can do what i want. so we’re testing out a new thing: “read a book during the week, & watch the movie over the weekend, discuss the similarities & differences”

you’re so right about how expensive it’s getting. a fucking nail trim was like a $10 add on at most, slowly it’s gone up to over $35 & they “only Dremel” which was $15 back before covid. my dogs nails are so long, henry got his little dewclaws stuck together when he was cuddled up for a nap 😞

i’m a few years older than her, & i’m like… why she look like an adult & i feel like a child in an adult skin suit 🤣

just took my dog in for BLOODWORK because he needs most of his teeth pulled, & that vet wanted a blood draw, but he was due for his annual visit & it was $369 (noice) & that doesn’t even include the 12m supply of flea/tick split b/t him & his bro which is likely more than that 😭 plus the dental cost

i went all the way to the art museum in freeport, il & all i got was this statue of a woman whose “idgaf” vibe i envy.

btw - we left our christmas tree outside for them to play in when we were done with it 😂 they really loved having something to climb in but now that it’s warming up we should probably dispose of it (aka add it to the burn pile)
