Steep, eroding beach cliffs on Whidbey Island, Washington, featuring rugged glacial till formations, loose gravel slopes, and tufts of golden grass. Windswept evergreen trees line the cliff edge under a bright blue sky with scattered clouds, highlighting the island’s dramatic coastal landscape.

Erosion in action on Whidbey Island, creating #jagged cliffs along the coastline. The glacial sediment is no match for the wind and waves at the edge of the Salish Sea. Good rockhounding, though.
