Another #BandcampFriday just after I added 2 more songs to this noisy folk collection (hopefully 1 more to come). Up to 10 now! patientwhales.bandcamp.com

Had fun seeing what I could make with nothing but white noise fed into the Chase Bliss Lost + Found pedal. A new series, maybe?

And this one came together last week for this Year's #RPMchallenge. Seemed like a fitting album closer (though I still want to sneak one more track before it at some point soon). Another wistful, folky ditty that devolves into layers of ambience patientwhales.bandcamp.com/track/nowher...
Two more tracks added to the (still-growing) Patient Whales collection on Bandcamp. This one was written eons ago and initially performed live as Dog Is Blue with my wife, but I finally recorded it solo. The screamed backups for super fun to record patientwhales.bandcamp.com/track/back-t...
Another lovely RPM listening party in the books. Now to get home and actually try to start something for this month's challenge

I approve this message
Had a lot of fun with this one. So many layers of arps and MIDI guitar hidden in there
Got to be part of a fun and challenging one-night art event recently that had me doing a live ambient soundtrack using only phone notification sounds. Super fun in the end! youtu.be/dnjBLuF_YTQ?...
With another annual #RPMChallenge about to begin, it seemed like a good time to re-share these totally non-sarcastic words of wisdom: youtu.be/FgUNPQON6RM
Thanks! Was my first time using these acrylic brush markers for the designs
Thanks! It was a fun challenge
5 colourful hand-painted DIY guitar pedals connected together via patch cables and a daisy chain for power
Built these 5 pedals for someone starting a new rig. They gave rough parameters, but I was told to pick 5 that made sense. A tough choice and a lot of anxious drilling and hand-painting. Came out well in the end and they are happy!
It's all true. I was a mess
Thanks! Was fun to draw, for sure
A drawing of the Duolingo owl as a gestalt monster of many different faces, vaguely in the overall shape of a heart, by Paul Watson
A little gift for my wife, who is both encouraging of the weird monsters I draw in my sketchbook and is also currently doing a lot of Duolingo (fun to try out some new acrylic markers too)
A sketchbook on a desk next to pens, open to a pen and ink drawing of a weird creature with many hands
Was sketching during the latest #RPMchallenge listening party. Sort of lost steam on the details, but weird monsters are always fun
Couldn't have said it better mys...oh wait, this is me

Went back-to-basics with a no-talking ambient jam this week, as I dusted off the (classic?) Volca Keys to pair it with the Onward for maximum madness. A fun pair!

Had a lot of fun recording this one
It's a real eyeful
This edition of Other People's Music offers a pair of rock albums offering proof of life for that once dominant genre, along with joyous modular techno, solo jazz clarinet & jungle-leaning IDM.

A pencil crayon drawing, done in high school by a 16-year-old Paul Watson, of a shirtless man with falcon wings and lightning coming from his eyes, riding a Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle through the air. The exhaust has ribbons coming out, and the tires are glowing with electricity. In the background is another man, arm outstretched as he is trapped in trailing ribbons.
In case you're wondering, this high school drawing proves I peaked creatively at 16. If I ever get a tattoo...or a van to airbrush...
Bonus video this week, as I'm starting to deep dive into specific features of the Zoom L6max, starting with the new sub-mix output, which solves one of my bigger issues with the original L6: youtu.be/Zd2vIcXoJ1A
Brought out the Circuit Rhythm sampler to both fight GAS and make a full remix for a friend youtu.be/YAbGS0hz9e4 #electronicmusic #remix #circuitrhythm

Some days I'm of two minds (also, this paper is made of rocks!)
It's true. Happens every time a video gets more than 5K views (also your semi-daily reminder that I'm posting synth stuff over here on via @bay-mud.bsky.social)
