Happy Sinterklaas Day.
Sinterklaas stems from the legend of Saint Nicholas who dropped money down the chimney to save three girls from being sold into slavery. In the Netherlands, Saint Nicholas and Black Peter arrive by boat and parade through the streets.

First year I’ve enjoyed the limbo period between Xmas and New Year. With husband and son coughing and sneezing I’ve had time to isolate myself in my writing nook and finish all the current rewrites ready to start editing - assuming the compile from Scrivener to Word goes well. ‘Tidy!’

She’s a seamstress first in Topsham then Exeter. My belief from reading several accounts is she would have sewed and measured clients in the front room which doubled as her workshop

Wish I’d come across your Coffers book ages ago, it would have saved me hours of research! A couple of questions if you have time- my protagonist has a house with a shop, would there have been glass? Also I have a vicarage with a chaise longue and a knowle type sofa is this OK for 1686? Thanks

Thanks, that’s helpful. I will buy your social history book. What’s your novel called and I’ll buy that too.
