No. McDermott’s a defensive coach whose defense has hurt this team over and over again in the playoffs. His biggest flaw was making coaching decisions based on the idea that his defense can get a stop at crunch time. It’s why JA17 has not played in a SB.

I find it hard to believe that they made this move without a specific candidate and plan in mind.

Fumbles, interceptions yet JA17 handed McDermott a 4pt lead and all he had to do is get a defensive stop and not give up a TD with 2:00 left to go. McDermott’s defense folded in the big moment as it always does.

Exactly. His best receiver is a TE who can’t stay on the field. Shame on Beane and this franchise for not giving JA17 the best receiver talent possible.
