There's a very interesting myth that many people seem to believe, which is that the US is doing badly on life expectancy due primarily to chronic disease.
This is broadly untrue. Rather, America and most of the OECD have similar issues with diabetes, heart disease, cancer, etc.

Should add that England/Wales data is weekly from ONS, and by registration date, not occurance.

I used 10 year age bands to 39 and then 5 year up to 90+.
And I used the same Life Expectancy as WHO recommend - 92.
All the data is weekly. Sweden deaths with unknown week added proportionately per age and year week.
