Not uncommon for many artists, like Jason's early work looking really different than his later style.

I also think there's a difference between someone taking some influence from someone and being a full-out disciple of someone's style--especially if you only take a particular aspect of a style. CF drew directly from Jenny Zervakis in terms of visual style.

I wouldn't put Schrauwen in the category--he's 2 years older than CF, and his first book precedes CF'S by a couple of years.

I will say that musically, I don't think Prince will ever be topped. But the glorious spectacle of this, especially in terms of the context of recent events, will make this difficult to surpass.

The imaginative quality of the practical sets was staggering, yet BB didn't get visually overwhelmed by them. He was in full control yet very giving in how he shared the stage.

By that time, he had stopped working with them. It was probably QT, Brandi, and Ricky Starks.

Instead of "Daisy" being the song HAL sings at the end, it should be "No Sleep Til Brooklyn."
