I think of this video often. We shouldn’t be fighting the same fight. Waiting for comfort and decorum isn’t the way. Progress happens when you don’t stop.

I wonder if Pete Hegseth is drinking again tonight, after his former sister-in-law sent that scathing affidavit to the Senate about his abusive behavior.

I guess only billionaire geniuses are susceptible to doing that extremely specific move by accident.

🚨BREAKING: @DouglasEmhoff reportedly confronted Bruce Fischer, Sen. Deb Fischer's husband, at the inauguration, saying, “Why would you try to shake my hand when you wouldn’t shake my wife’s hand?” This came after Fischer declined to shake VP Harris's hand but attempted to greet Emhoff.

I knew all this was going to happen. But nothing can really prepare you for what it feels like when the moment actually arrives. This is why we need each other and our communities. I plan to turn to them a lot in the coming years.

No matter where you fall on the TikTok ban, the President undoing by “executive order” a law passed by Congress and upheld unanimously by the Supreme Court is an unconstitutional abuse of power.

How Representative Jasmine Crockett Will Get It Done Crockett’s clapbacks and forceful speeches have made her one of the Democratic Party’s rising stars.

While some of my colleagues on the other side of the aisle are in this job to clout chase, I'm here to do one thing—serve the American people. I spoke to @thecut.com about how I get it done.

If people knew how often health corporations overcharged taxpayers, their heads would spin. I worked on one case where they were gouging active duty service members by overcharging for breast pumps. Just one of thousands of examples media.defense.gov/2023/Jul/31/...

For the next 4 years, it's time for Democrats to stop being so eager to play nice and appease Republicans.

They're not really Republicans any more. They are MAGA.

If your name isn't Donald trump, they're not interested. They're not playing by the same rules.

They're not playing by ANY rules.

@gavinnewsom.bsky.social on Mike Johnson considering conditioning disaster aid: "Never in California did we question whether or not we, as taxpayers in the largest state in the Union, should support the people of Louisiana at a time of emergency and need. We’d never condition it."

kyle_maclachlan Forty-two years ago, for reasons beyond my comprehension, David Lynch plucked me out of obscurity to star in his first and last big budget movie. He clearly saw something in me that even I didn't recognize. I owe my entire career, and life really, to his vision.
What I saw in him was an enigmatic and intuitive man with a creative ocean bursting forth inside of him. He was in touch with something the rest of us wish we could get to.
Our friendship blossomed on Blue Velvet and then Twin Peaks and I always found him to be the most authentically alive person I'd ever met.
David was in tune with the universe and his own imagination on a level that seemed to be the best version of human. He was not interested in answers because he understood that questions are the drive that make us who we are. They are our breath.
While the world has lost a remarkable artist, l've lost a dear friend who imagined a future for me and allowed me to travel in worlds I could never have conceived on my own.
I can see him now, standing up to greet me in his backyard, with a warm smile and big hug and that Great Plains honk of a voice. We'd talk coffee, the joy of the unexpected, the beauty of the world, and laugh.
His love for me and mine for him came out of the cosmic fate of two people who saw the best things about themselves in each other.
I will miss him more than the limits of my language can tell and my heart can bear. My world is that much fuller because I knew him and that much emptier now that he's gone.
David, I remain forever changed, and forever your Kale. Thank you for everything.

You Blamed DEI for Hurting Your Career. Now What? For people who pin their failures on diversity, corporate America’s DEI retreat removes a barrier—or maybe an excuse.

this confirms something i have long suspected, which is that certain people are told that their professional and academic failures are because of “affirmative action” or “DEI” as a way to avoid difficult conversations about their mediocrity www.wsj.com/lifestyle/ca...
