This was my exact thought this morning.
This was my exact thought this morning.
Been very inactive on here lately. Which bums me out. But have had a solid 2 weeks of home Reno work done and then a week straight of the desk build I am doing.

Yeah, I think this year was healthy for us, but nothing like over to the eastern part of the snow belt. I would suggest one for that very reason haha. None of us are getting any younger.
That sounds awful. Makes me even more thankful for my battery blower.
I think that's the brightest of sides. Hopefully the cage doesnt give you too much trouble in replacement.
That might be the worst part about cheap rails. The gamble on them. I feel like some work amazing, and some are trash and its a 50/50 gamble
Happy Friday #makersky! I know its been a minute, been very busy with home renovations the last few weeks. How is everyone doing? Any good projects to kickoff the year?

Perhaps? Though I am terrible at marketing, but I think the answer may be yes.
...I love everything about this
I will do that!
I have yet to sign up for some events this year. I think I may reduce the number again from last year as some were still not worth it. I might change my mind if the product I am working on is ready at a certain point.
2) For my small business, I want to figure out a game plan on what content to try and start to post for it. This is the hardest one.
I have several:
1) would like to be more consistent with the other channel's videos. I want to do maker content on my main channel and transition it from gaming to making, but I don't have the spare time for that. So the side channel is a better creative outlet.
Of course. I feel like that is part of the unwritten rules for these situations. It's always the most inconvenient.
I hate when those things happen. Always seems like someone is leaving at just the wrong times for things.
How is that going? Do they still like it?
Well then. I hope you find that person and it turns out exactly as youβre envisioning.
Ok. phew. This makes me feel better about 2026.
I am looking forward to seeing how it comes out.
Thank you. From this home remodel I think I have all of the Ryobi templates and one milescraft. If I wasn't doing the whole house, I might've hired this part out. But also its so expensive.
I was watching a post from our photographer we booked with in Thailand and it just makes me miss it. Specifically Chiang Mai. What an amazing trip that was. Never did I expect to miss it so much.
Wait wait wait. Does this mean the MS Paint is going away?
That was a really cool build. Any plans for another next year?
I am tackling a similar project. I have to custom make a door jamb for our bathroom because those who framed it out, didnt do the standard depth so instead of 4 9/16 ish its right at 2.5in. So I have been procrastinating routing out the hinge mortises
It's the end of the year #makersky. What has been your favorite project of the year?
I think mine may be the knitting machine I worked on or the vacuum pod. Both had their own design challenges, but have great potential to build on.

That has been me this year. Thereβs just so much packed into it.
And thatβs the biggest thing for me. I cut a lot of different shapes out of it. Now if I was doing more cabinet type stuff, I think you could get away with strategically placed ones. I think my friend and I are going to be trying some ideas out.
I would like to machine it out of wood or sheet plastic for the full sized vacuum table. I think these 3D printed pods can also come in very handy.
This is actually made out of PLA surprisingly. So far it seems like it would work well for that application.
It really depends on what I am working on. I use sheet goods a fair bit, so a full table helps.
Material level and attachment to the machine are two things I still have to look through.
