also like, not all remakes are equal, not all of them are good. that applies to every single video game lol, why are remakes such a binary issue in games
I love FF7R and the REmakes. I do not think we need to remake Bloodborne bc we already view that game as a MODERN masterpiece. Both can be true

Is it really just because it's a multiplayer game? Even then the BR is the biggest genre in the world. I know the common concern is "too sweaty" but have you tried queuing into Fortnite builds at all recently? There are sweats in every competitive multiplayer game! There's always someone better!
I guess I am kinda surprised "I don't want to lose my gear" is suddenly a issue when that risk factor is the entire reason people love rogues, and the Souls mechanics of being able to lose all your XP are so popular and celebrated for what they do in creating tension.
had a cursed thought that if Marathon was positioned as a rogue like FPS instead of an extraction shooter an embarrassing number of people would probably consider giving it an actual chance lol

Resident Evil Requiem - in awe of Capcom’s ability to balance the terror and thrills with the perspective split. Game feels like the culmination of the Capcom renaissance weaving together the origins, highs, lows and reboot of RE. Even recontextualizes the remakes to a degree. Couldn’t be happier.
