Bungie needs to do better, absolutely.
It’s systemic in that they’re lazy and complacent with accepting art with no checks.
But I don’t think it’s systemic in that it’s intentionally done otherwise they wouldn’t be compensating and crediting.

Of the 4 total times Bungie got caught out, 3 of them were not artists working for Bungie, and the Marathon team had the artist responsible for the decal sheet fired well before any of the controversy happened, the rest of the team was just using assets they had on hand.

People in their art team stole art and used it without Bungie’s knowledge. Bungie as a company didn’t tell the artists to steal art.

Eternally upset they decided to make this an extraction shooter and not a well developed single player experience.
I’m not going to bother with live service trash but boy I want to experience the art and world.

See, normally a full playable state is on the disc/cart, and is installed onto the console.

L.A. Noir has the game on the cart. The cart just happened to be too small to fit the full game and needed supplemental data from the internet.
You can run the game albeit with some issues without the download.
