TIL you make a ribbon cable by literally just squashing the pins from one of these headers into the cable in a vice so all the pins touch the inside of the cable.

2/2 But in all seriousness, you could download a free compressor (like MCompressor in Melda's free bundle) & run that through EqualizerAPO to control the dynamics (how quiet loud things should be & how loud quiet things should be) of your system output
1/2 EqualizerAPO is an EQ that runs on your system outputs, however, it has VST plugin support, meaning you could install a VST & run that on your system output. The OTT part was a joke (it'd make everything incredibly loud, and not dynamic at all)
-> Install EqualizerAPO
-> Install Xfer OTT
-> Run OTT on your system output with downward turned all the way down & upward turned all the way up π
