Iβm embarking on my tour with Michelle Shocked today! But first, a love letter to the tattoo shows that sustain me spiritually. Selah.

Is that you Miss Lady?
It totally is. Just repeating to yourself that whatever it is, it is finite. This is not the rest of your life.
Hang in there sugar. i feel your pain, boy howdy.
A golden oldie from my seemingly endless repository of snarky fashion shite that the NYT miraculously published. French fun!

I agree. I love Tennessee.
Enjoy the spectacle of me tearing my own ass out because I keep making the same horrible mistake over and over and over, like I have no brain at all.

Smart
A tree cut down and felled next to its fellow trees but this tree's rings have an oddity to them and the shape and texture and color it makes it look like a fish drawing
Sometimes if you cut it down correctly, you can still see the last meal a tree had in its stomach when it died

Hereβs a zippy piece of writing that got me in huge trouble with the British aristocrat that owned the franchise, when it came out. Peerage schmeerage.

Didn't know you were an actor, Mamie!
"The characters he plays are generally weak, immoral, murderous, slimy or insane. Yet to gaze upon John Hurt, in almost any role, is to feel a drooly adoration; he is irresistible."

Heartbreaking. They gave us Fred Rogers and Sesame Street, which accounted for a lot of the backbone of pre-K literacy in the US. It shows you how people had actual values in the sixties and seventies besides just ripping everyone off.
Played by Daniel Kaluuya (very good and suitably charismatic, if a bit old) in Shaka King's excellent JUDAS AND THE BLACK MESSIAH (2021), worth a watch if you haven't seen it. Also features LaKeith Stanfield and Jesse Plemons.
That was a good movie. There is a documentary about Fred Hampton made shortly after his death that is incredible.
Hi! I'm my parent's narcissism.
This is wonderful.
oooh thanks for noticing.

A scathingly personal, raw but optimistic new essay about my fucked up life, for your year-end enjoyment. Plus a new painting!

I so love him.
Y'all so beautiful and I miss you so much.
It's a nice idea. They won't get any of it. He's slippery as a greased eel.
I've always loved Hellen Keller jokes because they are inherently wrong, and therefore transgressive, and therefore fun.
So interesting! Thanks so much for your excellent explanation.
