You can see five of his Green Man pieces here:

It was Ron Linn's drawings of rocks that first drew my attention as I tried to figure out Outside Upmost's visual identity. (It was untitled at that point---title and art build each other).
But when I found his Green Man series, I knew that's what I'd been looking for. Happily, he was onboard!
When I saw all the nature themes in the poems and prose, I thought originally of taking a phrase from this poem for the issue title. Didn't end up going that way, but feel free to read this and play what-if yourself!

Absher's the next poet to give us a multipart poem. It's a good issue for such things.

You might also know Jace Einfeldt's work from, for instance, @havehashad.com and a bunch that don't seem to be on Bluesky....

Adam Glover back with another baptism poem---this brings me back to the flowers. Flowers, trees, stones. So much nature imagery in this issue.

I'd like to compare Dr Nydegger's scripture-pulled dramatic monologue to Browning, but it's not blank verse and it's rhymed abba so I'm afraid I can't.

Edward R. Hogan brings some needed lightness to the issue and he does it from the confines of a Sunday School class.

Aaron Nydegger's ANOTHER doctor/poet. Really, we've cornered the market.

Very excited to announce that Dennis Read was NOT dead as we feared when we were unable to contact him for two years and he is back with another exquisitely observed story. He's so good.

Very happy to share with you two comics by Madeline Rupard, part of a series in which she paints the mundane and places them alongside beloved writing. Here's the first:

Our sole translated work this issue is Monserrat Gamboa's "The Saviorβs Friendship"

"When Someone Asks Me if Mormons Celebrate Pioneer Day Outside of Utah" is probably my favorite title of the issue. It's by Jace Einfeldt.

I don't think God has ever been bothered by blasphemy. Or, more accurately, I don't think God is peronally injured by it. I think his concern is how it may affect us.
So when I say some people might call this blasphemy, all I mean is some people are more worried about protecting God than themselves
