a four-panel stick-figure cartoon panel one: three standing figures. from left to right, a guy wearing a necktie looking at his phone, an angry MAGA guy yelling FUCK YOUR FUCKIN POST FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU, and a rando just standing there like an NPC. panel two: the guy looking at his phone shows MAGA guy his hand, causing MAGA to vanish. the word Block hangs in the air where fuckface once was. a green-bordered in-game message appears, reading "+2 Mental Health." now the rando is suddenly interested. panel three: as our man continues doom-scrolling, a sly grin on his face, the rando on the right puts on a punch-me face and snarls: "Typical lefty, blocking everyone who disagrees with-" panel four phone guy shows the hand to punch-me face, causing the rando to vanish. the word Block hangs in the air where that dickhead was. a green-bordered in-game message appears again, reading "+2 Mental Health."

βThe Victorian Parliament has passed laws banning unnecessary medical interventions on children born with variations in sex characteristics.β
This is great news! We need our laws to affirm bodily autonomy, especially for intersex people enduring institutional violence.

i have suspicions as to why this is:
basically, rpg players want to resolve conflicts using the mechanical tools the game gives them. so, in a game where the mechanical tools are mostly 'kill them' or 'remove their agency', that's the go-to.
Other systems solve this problem. Go read/play Pasion de las Pasiones for a masterclass on this: pvp becomes *fun* because getting successfully PvP'd *gives you stuff to do* rather than cutting you out of play.
Nothing unites American politicians of both parties like imperialism.
actually tho her arc was interesting, but it feels concluded. im kinda optimistic about the implied role reversal between her & her brother

It actually kicks ass how much the people who run this site hate the people who use it. Just constant seething meltdowns over having to put up with a bunch of artists, furries, and trans people instead of crypto-hustlers and AI guys making Linkedin-tier posts. I'm glad they're miserable, frankly
I gotta hand it to congress they arenβt even pretending to remotely be a democratic body anymore. Thank you for revealing the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie to the people
This is unspeakable, and true justice for it would echo through history, even if saying out loud what should happen would get you buried alive.
People deny this, saying Iranians did this to themselves, which is obscenity. Eventually, like in Gaza, they wonβt feel the need to even lie or cover things like this up.
This act is a culmination of the American project. The empire is a machine designed to do this again and again.
Theyβre still lying to us.

One encouraging theme in last night's NC primaries is the simple fact that being pro-trans is now like being anti-ICE among Dem voters: to them, it means you're a fighter, it means you're not giving into Trump.
That's a really, really good sign.

1 Inquiry for New York Times Good afternoon, My name is [REDACTED] and l am a reporter for the New York Times. I am researching how much money the Palestinian diaspora community has sent to support Gazan families since the war in Gaza began. Does your team track this figure? I really appreciate it. With gratitude, [REDACTED]
Palestine Diaspora Movement Hello [REDACTED] We do not collaborate with The New York Times. Your email asks about money sent to Gazan families "since the war in Gaza began." Let us first correct the premise. This is not a war. It is a genocide. Calling it a war is part of the problem. It obscures the reality of a colonized people being massacred by a military machine backed by the United States and defended, sanitized, and rhetorically softened by institutions like yours. The New York Times has spent far too long parroting Zionist propaganda and laundering Israeli state narratives while Palestinians bury their dead. That kind of coverage does not merely misinform. It helps create the political climate in which Palestinian slaughter becomes explainable, defensible, and forgettable. So no, we will not be sharing any figures, internal data, or community information with a paper that has so thoroughly damaged its credibility on Palestine. Quite frankly, we would rather chew jeans than help The New York Times extract from our community while continuing to fail it. Do not contact us again for this purpose, The Palestine Diaspora Movement Team

Quoted text: Al Pacino in heat, 1995. Text in the QT: This reads different if you were unaware there was a film called heat. Two pictures of al Pacino, one where he looks normal and one where he looks like a crab is pinching his penis

I think about this take more often than I'd like to.
If one blames the Jew for not having been ennobled by oppression, one is not indicting the single figure of the Jew but the entire human race, and one is also making a quite breathtaking claim for oneself. I know that my own oppression did not ennoble me, not even when I thought of myself as a practicing Christian. I also know that if today I refuse to hate Jews, or anybody else, it is because I know how it feels to be hated. I learned this from Christians, and I ceased to practice what the Christians practiced.
I think often of this one Baldwin paragraph, not specifically because of Jewish contexts but because of the assumptions that are often made about what oppression does to anyone

Also, in both Portuguese & Spanish we have "estadunidense", which is the official demonym for US citizens in several countries
"USian" is a way to translate that in English. If you think that's latinos being offensive, you're vastly underestimating what we actually say when we want to attack the US
