12" single of Computer Love by Zapp with the label coloured red with felt tip pen
The reverse of the same record, with Alison written on the label
Resisted buying this charity shop copy of Computer Love by Zapp. No sleeve, couldn't be sure it would play and the label on one side coloured red with felt tip pen, presumably by Alison
I really like the @2000ad.bsky.social themed mural on the side of this property for sale in Ardrossan. Tellingly there aren't any photos of the interior on the listing. www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/1...

I saw Timothy London (and band) play a great gig at Imperial College Union in 1987, three years before they had a hit as Soho. Musically they were right up my street, they looked fantastic, and they played a song that night which I don't think they ever recorded, that I still sing around the house.
Happy #CollopMonday to all who celebrate

One of the three stories making up today's Ripley's Believe It Or Not! comic strip as provided by gocomics. It refers to a Flat Earth Cruise that was being organised for 2020.
Today's Ripley's Believe It Or Not! I don't know if this is a re-run, but it's looking forward to an event that was due to take place in 2020. A quick Google search shows this cruise never happened, cancelled due to COVID or possibly common sense...

A drawing by me of the font and a detail of the stained glass window behind it at Whitekirk Church in East Lothian. The font and the window both feature the descending dove motif.
I took part in the church recording project at Whitekirk Church last Friday. When we were encouraged to take ten minutes to contemplate and draw a feature of the church I chose the font and the window behind it which both feature the descending dove motif.

A sticker on a lamppost in Edinburgh, December 2019. It says "Consider the possibility that you're wrong about something"
Nice work if you can get it

Until the last couple of weeks, I rarely heard the term Psychodrama, now thanks to British politics itβs a term I hear every day
Two b/w images of Indian Air Force helicopters β top image shows two , bottom image shows one close up. They have been hung with richly decorated textiles, complete with four hollow βlegsβ, two massive βearsβ, a pair of βtusksβ, and a massive βtrunkβ
In anniversary news which I canβt quite verify, it may be 39 years (possibly more) since the Indian Air Force dressed their helicopters up as elephants for Republic Day

For me #MichaelCarrick will always be the young player who inspired this impressive Harry Redknapp swear, as reported in the Guardian back in May 2001
A giant yellow sign on the side of the road announces βYOU ARE ENTERING A FRUIT FLY CONTROLLED AREAβ and below that in smaller letters βMake sure you know the rules.β
I donβt think we should have ceded control quite so quickly and without so much as a fight.
Left wallet + credit cards on London bus this morning, and didnβt even know it was missing. The bus driver has just dropped it off at my house! I thought this sort of thing only happened in the movies. Thank you bus driver Dorota... @tflbot.bsky.social
