In 2020 I lost my house to wildfires and lost everything because I was extremely optimistic, and also had no warning besides a neighbor knocking on my door saying I need to go NOW. It still influences many things in my life today, years later.
If you or anyone you know is close to the fire, please be serious about packing a legit go-bag. Important documents, things that would be hard to replace right away because they’re expensive but small. Camping supplies. You could be unhoused for a while.
My heart goes out to my friends in LA. 😭 Seeing all the pictures of the fires hurts down to my lil soul,
