ALSO in Mario Kart Tour, none of Toad's costumes are Blue Toad*, there's Toad But Blue ones(Cat, Builder), Yellow Toad(Penguin) who isn't the same guy, Captain Toad(might be internally considered different i forgot),a single regular Toad costumes, the Pit Crew ones who are just random Toads,

But the main Captain Toad ISN'T the same Toad despite having the same color cap, and the MOVIE Toad adds to the confusing by basically being Captain Toad, and Captain Toad is paired with Real Actual Toadette.

-and there's Toad But Blue, the Toad playable in most OTHER games, but recolored as Blue to be visually distinct from the rest of the cast, playable in SMB2, 3D World, Mario Maker 2.
