We're using github.com/glushkovds/p... which is a Laravel wrapper for github.com/smi2/phpClic....
We use Laravel's query builder for select statements (with a lot of selectRaw calls). We don't write to the DB in our app code, but in tests/seeders we use bulk insert methods on the underlying SDK.
