Was it really only 2018? I remember seeing this on there. I think of this wisdom every now and then when it's needed

There are great reasons to use and have a smartphone. But to pretend that computers are a thing of the past or somehow not as good as they used to be (or as smartphones are) is absolutely batshit

Not only is it possible, it is PREFERABLE. I'm an elder millennial so I prob sound ancient but does anybody else have that anxiety when you're filling out a form on your phone that if you swap apps (like to look up a phone number) it'll clear itself and you'll have to start over? Not an issue on PC!

People who think like this seem to think they are trapped in Phone Prison when in reality it is possible in 2026 to just get a desktop computer and go sit at it when you need to use it

Walking to my car after work there was one of those hollering street preachers. My friend and I almost cut over to another street to avoid it but when we got closer we realized he was screaming READ THE BIBLE OR YOU'LL SPEND ETERNITY IN HELL WITH DONALD TRUMP and .. feels like a turning point?

Western Carolina University students just turned early voting into a 1.53-mile protest. After the on-campus polling site was closed, they marched a busy four-lane highway to cast ballots β€” saying if access gets harder, their resolve gets stronger. #ncpol

But on Fox Business on Wednesday, Doug Burgum, the interior secretary, revived a debunked myth to sum up how the Trump administration views carbon dioxide, the main greenhouse gas. β€œCO2 was never a pollutant,” he said. β€œWhen we breathe, we emit CO2. Plants need CO2 to survive and grow. They thrive with more CO2.”

While carbon dioxide can help plants grow, the extraordinarily high levels in the atmosphere are overwhelming natural processes and increasing the frequency and severity of drought, heat waves and other damaging events, according to scientists.

β€œAre the arts important?” Humanity practiced them long before they had use for science and will practice them long after math is gone. Is the dawn important? Is dusk?

This is an excellent analogy, because my recollection from grade school is that the pen on the right looks fun and exciting, and then you play with it for a few minutes and realize it's not actually useful for anything and in fact makes some tasks more cumbersome, and never think about it again.

The images and stories coming out of Minneapolis are extraordinary. We can't say we did not know what was happening. Lots of people are putting their bodies on the line to make sure we do.
