These types of things should never be taken literally. Its just statistics and should be viewed as indicative and not as facts. Its very interesting though.
In a study comparing Nobel price winners during 1901-2005 with non-winning scientists showed that practicing different levels of crafting or art creation dramatically increased the chances of winning. I guess there are similarities with executives in the game industry. "Originals" is a great book!
