I'm a constituent. We are a nation of laws. And we bow to no kings. You are embarrassing yourself and our state.
What do you think he calls people who go to parks?

No run today, but I did spend pretty much the whole thing on my feet (and I ran the Rocky steps twice at the end), and I'm feeling all right.
So hopefully we'll be good to go for this marathon.
The letter, Polikoff said, went βfar beyondβ the Harvard affirmation action case ruling. βBut if it gets universities to change policies out of fear, they can accomplish a lot even if the argument of the dear colleague letter doesnβt hold water.β www.latimes.com/california/s...
"hey siri, what is the quickest path i could take to destroy the confidence that keeps commercial passenger flight viable?"
The back is definitely way better today. Figured I'd test it on the elliptical before on the run. Went wellβhopefully it was just random back pain that goes away all by itself?
I'm not saying AI isn't the future but it is notable that the biggest promoters are weird, cultish trolls and zealots who sound EXACTLY like NFT evangelists from a few years ago. Again I'm not saying it's snake oil, I'm saying they have lots of snake oil salesmen in their ranks.
This is not about running. And this is about running.
Thank you for saying this.
Weβre either a nation of laws or weβre not. And if you donβt believe weβre a nation of laws then you hate everything this country is supposed to stand for. Period. You can use the excuse that youβre just greedy or just racist or just stupid. But the truth is that you hate what the American ideal is.
Hmm β¦ this back pain preventing me from ::checks notes:: walking could pose a problem for completing a marathon next week.
Guess we'll have to see!
It's all just so stupid. Stupid stupid stupid.
100% ... was thinking about the industry I'm in (education), where things are definitely different!
Well-meaning people often say that bureaucrats could make a more money in the private sector but they do government service out of love for the work. That's only sort of true. Many could get a higher salary. But they would have a hard time matching the benefits, especially the pension.
In @the74.bsky.social I argue that we can't accept current academic outcomes as the "new normal" and that if I'd "been told in 2020 that children would still be scuffling to this extent by the middle of the decade," I "would have been shocked and disappointed."

Yesss one of my grants is on Ted Cruz's stupid woke grants list. It was our 2022 NSF RAPID to understand the impact of COVID on American households. We did in fact find racial differences in families' educational experiences during COVID. π journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10....
Oh 100% sheβs more dominant. The thing that fascinates me about Jakob was he showed up and everyone else also leveled up. But definitely not straight up dominant.
We had been told that DOGE's cuts to ED did *not* include the regional education laboratories (e.g., www.edweek.org/policy-polit...), but I have just been told by a trusted anonymous source that employees of REL Pacific were told their contract has been canceled.
I think the difference between Biles and him is that she was so much better than everyone else, just in another league, where Jakob's competitors keep upping their games to meet his level, at least in the 1500.
I don't really root for him, but Jakob has taken the sport to another level in a way I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone else, in any sport, achieve.
"Should public schools exist?"
Same. Iβve been trying to get a hard workout in for three days now β¦ maybe tomorrow β¦
Musk seems to lie about almost everything; why would we trust what heβs saying DOGE is cutting? Good sleuthing here from @chadaldeman.bsky.social

All this federal government stuff produced some extra work for me, and I didn't get out for a run because of it. And that sucks.
Great question. Even though it doesn't make any sense, I think of him more as a Cardinal.
(I think this is a case where the HOF would respect the player's preference, and I imagine he'd pick Cardinal.)
Tbh this is basically my aspiration when I go on work trips
