For me, I was desperate for a refresh on my S1 as I still have (and still DO have) S1 stuff I like to play on it, and also enjoy keeping up w/current stuff (often by renting).

My favorite Takahashi anecdote is that he had such deep dissatisfaction for Shinzo Abe and the admin at the time, he drew this picture while urging his instagram followers to go vote for something better. He got crazy backlash for it and had to apologize though.

Assuming we’re counting the holiday season, I thought it was rad as hell! Luigi’s Mansion, Pikmin, and the amazing Smash Melee, and Super Monkey Ball, too. I didn’t own all of them but played them in the early months (owned Melee and Monkey Ball)

They should have announced this in a Nintendo Direct as the “one more thing”.

Unfortunately, most people are not like us and do not become more empathic when more information is presented.
