Oh these are wonderful! Part of my Mom’s side of the family is Japanese and from Sapporo. One of my fondest memories was being there for Yuki Matsuri the last time I visited Japan. (Which was tragically around 26 years ago, now.) 😭

Big and small, I've had single-person businesses rip me to shreds over how their colors turned out on newsprint, and have worked with huge companies with THICK brand guidelines with every detail of their brand identity laid out and enforced with an iron fist. But I guess all of that stuff doesn't matter anymore? Who gives a fuck if this Al generated baby has six fingers, that mom-and-pop shop is still going to use it. That rug from Temu says Happy Thanksgivirg? Oh well haha it's just a silly funny thing now (nevermind that you never would have given a B-grade item from a craft show the same consideration). I don't actually care that the Al Coca-cola ad has a truck that changes size every scene, but I can't help but think about how, if it had been some poor underpaid artist, they would have been laughed out of the building. I don't really know how to put it in a succint way but it just feels all the more obvious how much more grace and flexibility has always been possible but never offered.

A review for a Little Caesar’s somewhere by Kevin S: Stopped into this Little Caesars just trying to get a $6 pizza and ended up in a full on action movie. Just as I grabbed my order, this furious dude barges in yelling about how I cut him off in traffic earlier. Before I can even respond, he throws a punch but then out of nowhere the guy behind the counter jumps over it like he's been waiting for this moment his whole life and just beats the living hell out of the guy. The guy ran off and the cashier just dusted himself off. I said "are you ok man" and he looked me dead in the eye and said "B*tch, this is Little Caesars. We always hot and ready." Five stars. Will absolutely return.

Yes for sure! 💜 So many friends who do subcutaneous injections for diabetes or other reasons do it every day, and so I try to tell myself I’m getting off easy. We do what we have to do to keep our body and mind healthy and running how it needs to. 🫂

This has been my life working in logistics (import/export stuff) for over a decade. Consistent overtime for starters. And the rare times I’d take days off: I had to do SO much overtime before and after that to prepare or make up for it. To where it ended up a net negative in the end. No way to live.

Yay happy stabby day! Mine is tomorrow. I’ve become adept at it after all these years, but my OCD means it’s always still a drain on me. Still life-saving and beyond worth it every single time.
