Kwasi Kwarteng - the guy responsible for the diasastrous Truss budget. I know it's wishful thinking to assume potential Reform voters are aware of that detail, but I doubt it will pose any contradiction to their state of mind on voting. Bloody hell, have I turned cynical since 2016.

The thing that really grates on me with these types of articles is statements like "we invest time, emotions and countless rewatches into these shows..." and the arrogance to expect every plot to develop the way you want it. Creatives pour a lot into their work too, it's not just generated with AI!

Creativity is often messy and unorthodox. That's what makes some of the best films/tv/novels/comics so endearing - they are often flawed, full of heart and fearless projects done by passionate people!

So pleased for her - she seems like a wonderful person as well as great talent - a second WTA1000 maybe on the cards at the age of 19 is phenomenal!

How anyone thought Palestine Action was a terrorist group is beyond me.

To emphasise the imbecility of the whole thing, a brother of a friend of mine ironically held up a sign outside a police station reading "I support genocide". They were completely ignored!

Thank you to Sheriff Bilal for stating the truth undiplomatically. It's about time someone actually cared about crime.

These monsters need to be defunded, prosecuted and jailed as soon as possible. Trump and his administration knew what they were doing arming and encouraging them; the SS reincarnate.

BBC Verify Live: Misleading ICE footage spreading after night of protests Latest updates from the BBC's specialists in fact-checking, verifying video and tackling disinformation.

It's mad that the BBC has - every day now - a rolling feed of reports debunking AI footage and verifying claims by people. And the people convinced by AI and political lies will never see it, let alone believe it.

They need to express a lot more than reservations. Sitting on the fence about this many dangerous decisions is tantamount to supporting a dictatorship.

The planet is screaming right now as we try to kill it, and all we have are billionaires pillaging ecosystems to satisfy their greed and starting wars to hide their evil crimes. The least we could do is call a crime a crime. Treat criminals like criminals. Trump deserves no allies.

And it's not just him. A lot of leaders in Europe have become extremely complacent, allowing dictators to run amok without consequences. Should Xi or Putin ever think to do the unthinkable like Trump, I don't have much hope for repercussions.

Keir Starmer is disappointing as hell. Before the election, I didn't have high hopes, but his indecisiveness erases his entire former identity as a fighter for law and order. He shouldn't need facts to ascertain that Trump has broken international law. They are blatant.

Zohran Mamdani seems a genuine person who will work hard in good faith to achieve positive change. It's remarkable to think that is unusual and yet should be a given trait of Humanity. Compassion is within all of us, and yet often people call it a weakness. Fuck that backwards belief!

This plus increasing the living wage along with it. Coompanies - especially large ones - need to understand that in order for a business to be successful, its employees need to be treated with respect!

A black and white novel cover, depicting an ink drawing of a man dressed in 18th century clothing, with an overcoat, a bicorne hat and a belt. Obscuring his eyes are two red crosses. A black speech bubble is emerging from his head and to the right.

Within the speech bubble is written "Anfarwol neu Diflaniad Theophilus Cibber" with the author's name underneath "Peredur Glyn". On the left hand side is a black background badge stating "Enillydd Gwobr Goffa Daniel Owen 2025" (Translation: The Daniel Owen Memorial Award Winner)

10. Anfarwol (2025) by Peredur Glyn

Worthy winner of the Daniel Owen Memorial Award at the Eisteddfod, for Welsh readers, this is a gem waiting to be read - I guarantee you will not be disappointed by this sweeping, glorious, unmitigated fantasy historical. My favourite this year without a doubt.

Novel cover, with a grainy, pencil-like background drawing of an old-fashioned, Victorian era skyline of Oxford. Four towers are visible, with one on the left prominent compared to the rest. There are also birds in the sky.

The book title "Babel" is written veritcally down the centre with each letter printed inside square-shaped ink drawings. On the left side is written the author's name (again vertically), "R. F. Kuang". On the right side a golden-trimmed badge reading "Book of the Year". Underneath this is a review, "Ambitious, sweeping, epic - Evening Standard".

Provocative, emotional and clever historical fantasy which had me feeling all kinds of emotions throughout the read. Definitely a writer I'll be returning to soon!

I don't think Avatar has had a major cultural impact (maybe industrial with regards to the technology they've developed), but I love how immersive the world is. That first film reminded me how biodiversity in nature is vital to its survival. Pandora feels like a real moon.
