Strixhaven: Omens of Chaos by Seanan McGuire releasing April 7th.
But if you mean older novels, I think @vorthosjay.bsky.social has good answers for this. I'm really enjoying reading And Peace Shall Sleep, which is great for Sarpadia lovers. I don't think it's the *only* would I would recommend tho
I'm going to kick a hornets nest but the block structure, both three-set and two-set, were bad for Magic design and story and it's not even really a debate. It's demonstrably true. Returning to block structure is a desire to return to a time before 2016. There's better ways to do that.
Miguel knows how to make a Magic set and I am really looking forward to whatever his last project was before he left.
Need to write a letter to their loremaster though because Guinan was never an officer.
Best individual Dragonlance novel? As in, the one you think stands on its own the best without having to read more novels to really understand it.
this is who you're mad at when you're mad at me :(
hey this is good. magic writing can be good.
And "Duel loyalties" is what I call my enemies
"the needs of Arcavios' brightest" includes not dying to giant security constructs in this case
fake New Yorker headline "Professor Zarek's Dual Loyalties May Be a Problem for Silverquill" subtitled "Though he brings a life of experience with law magic and leadership to this new cross-planar position at Strixhaven, many question if his Ravnican roots may be at odds with the needs of Arcavios' brightest." By Jilesa Clarus. Dated Orzabin 9, 10080.
they do say that you start to resemble your spouse the longer you're married...
When I finished paying off my last car, I knew I would never buy another gas car ever again. Either I was driving that car until it died, never buying another car again, or going fully electric. I'm so far very happy with the change and even happier when I think about gas prices.
All things considered it was a pretty good move to buy an all electric vehicle in January.
Me avoiding social interactions.
anyone else remember the response to the Canto Bight scene in The Last Jedi
Where is he Brian
Imagine someone pointing out that what you just described is a "reverse domino theory" and you genuinely thinking that was intended to be some kind of affirmation that you aren't entirely insane. God, I love a Chotiner interview so much.
Headline of a Q&A in New Yorker formatting Headline: A panicked middle-aged man refuses to tell me directions to the bathroom. Subhed: Please, I just have to pee. I'm in a hurry. By Isaac Chotiner March 4, 2026
Excuse me. Oh, God. Oh, no. Holy shit. Get away from me. I was wondering if you knew where the bathrooms are. Look, I'm ... it's not a crime to scroll through your high school girlfriend's Instagram account. We remained friends after high school! I was at her wedding! It's only natural to see how she's doing.
I'm in a bit of a hurry, and I'm afraid that if I choose the wrong corridor, I'll be late for my train. I think they're down that way, but I'm actually from out of town. Please stop talking to me.
Real quick, though. I agree that it's natural to be interested in an old friend, but aren't you afraid about the message you might be sending by liking a picture of her at the beach from 2015? If that did happen, and I'm only going off your word, it was probably an accident. They put the ... scroll bars or whatever ... close to the thumbs up button. People have been complaining about that for years. I've been complaining about that for years.
As always
Look, you have my attention.
This has been my experience when evaluating AI accessibility tools. You can create alt text for thousands of images or descriptions for hours of videos in a fraction of the time it would take to make them by hand, but fixing the mistakes is often more time consuming than writing them from the start.
If you think something is worthy of Discourse, engage with it through conversations with friends, neighbors, basically anyone who you can talk to in a dialogue. Take those thoughts into the world away from Posting and see how they hold up.
I think engaging in discourse on a Posting site is inherently bad for you. There is no way to be normal about something when you have to derive your beliefs about it from 300 characters of text and can only express your thoughts in 300 character responses.
First as tragedy, then as farce, then again as farce, another time as tragedy, back to farce…
on a lark I started reading lord of the rings....so interesting to see all the characters from the books that never made it to the movies... where would Sam be if not for "the quick duck"....
It just feels insultingly useless right now to remind everyone that Democrats also supported and continue to support wars in the Middle East. It’s useless to say Democrats wouldn’t have done this. A hundred dead children and people think it’s worth their time to rehash 2016/2020/2024 over and over.
i am certainly trying.
spoke too soon: he is also on a date with i assume the coolest girlfriend ever.
coolest guy at the coffee shop is the one building gunpla while every other table is people on dates or editing their podcasts (me)
