We need to pass a House rule or law that requires them to work a certain number of days to get paid. Since Mike Johnson took over these people hardly ever work. When they finally come back after weeks off they work 2 days and he sends them home for 2 more weeks. It’s ridiculous.
They cut Meals on Wheels for seniors, doctors for the VA, and food for American children - but send billions of taxpayer dollars to the Middle East for an unnecessary war of choice.
Ugh.

In a dramatic incident captured on video, U.S. Department of Homeland Security police Wednesday handcuffed one of Rep. Jerry Nadler aides in the congressmember's Manhattan office, which is in the same federal office building as an immigration courthouse. In the video, which was shared with Gothamist and filmed by a person who was monitoring activity in immigration court, DHS officers entered Nadler’s district office and accused staff members of “harboring rioters.” A Nadler staffer is seen crying and being handcuffed. Another officer is at a door trying to enter a private area of the office while a staffer asks for a warrant. DHS later said in a statement that “one individual” — the woman seen being handcuffed — had blocked police from performing a security check they intended to do based on information there were protesters in the lawmaker’s office. Later that day, protesters gathered outside of the federal building, demonstrating against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

On April 24, ICE agents broke into a home of a family of US citizens in Oklahoma. The family repeatedly said we are citizens, you have the wrong people. ICE terrorized the family, ripped apart the house.

The Justice Department on Friday rescinded a Biden-era policy that prevented officials from searching reporters’ phone records when trying to identify government personnel who have leaked sensitive information to news organizations.
If it’s true that their only “evidence” against this judge is that she advised someone to leave out a side door, this is complete banana republic bullshit and should be unequivocally condemned by both parties.
When they start arresting judges we’re all in a lot of trouble

Judge Hannah Dugan was arrested by the FBI for giving an immigrant sanctuary in her chambers when ICE showed up to snatch him without a proper warrant or due process.
She did the right thing and stood up to the Trump/Patel Gestapo. ✊
