Haha. I did pick up on that in the interview.
@wilkywrites
Learning to write copy. In between the work and the parenting and the commute. I write about what I learn here. Mainly so I can write but also so I can tell myself off when I don't do any learning. Sometimes I talk about other stuff.
Haha. I did pick up on that in the interview.
Yeah. I can almost imagine not knowing and enjoying the pay-off from that. Especially given how wonderful Rocky is and how his and Grace's relationship works.
I guess the caveat for me is that it wasn't a surprise when I read the book. The blurb teased it so you knew what was coming. I never had that 'loss' so to speak, so I can understand how that might jar for readers who were surprised.
Still... so so hyped and encouraged by what you've said.
It IS the movie. That relationship is everything.
Been reading some daft shit about how the Project Hail Mary trailers give away the story.
Well yeah - kinda.
IF YOU ALREADY KNOW THE STORY!
In that case, yes - things will feel familiar. Who da fuck knew?
And here we go again.
Can we trust the British media not to fold like a pack of cards when their questions are met with this kind of response?
I'm not hopeful.
As in my 10 year old daughter, born to my American wife in the UK? Who received a US passport at 3 months from the embassy in London... is she also at risk?
No. If stability depends on the word of Donald Trump, you need to find stability elsewhere.
Well...
Putin's very pleased with his 'accomplishments'.
The irony is that climate change science is indirectly supported by the Trump administration. They wouldn't want Greenland if they couldn't easily get the minerals that climate change is rapidly making accessible.
If he wants Greenland, he DOES believe in climate change.
'Treat people as you'd wish tobe treated.'
I know. More than a bit trite.
But in terms of moral bearing, it rarely lets me down.
Oh. There you are again. Do you just spend all day deflecting?
So you're arguing that the government should have complete control over the media?
I gave it 24 hours. My brain is still interpreting this video the same way. With that - and the comments - I can only conclude that she said these things.
Today?
'Given the responsibility of your position and the fact that you don't have a fucking clue what's going on in your own country, don't you think it's high time you resigned and sought a position more suited to your all-round uselessness?'
Surely this is just trolling?
The idea that he actually believes this is too nauseating to process.
So Kilmeade apologised for something he didn't say?
You're either a gaslighter or a moron.
I'd think better of you if you were a moron.
A lot of people will support this too.
They'll push the idea of 'nuance', while insisting on left and right wing takes with every other issue.
Trump can no longer use Kirk's murder as political capital so he's lost all interest in him.
'shining new martyr' - it didn't take as long as I thought it would before the usual suspects used Kirk's death as political capital.
I'm not gonna comment on Charlie Kirk
Safest way.
But I'd wager even money that the group who are absolutely appalled at the laughing emojis all over the reports are the same group who plaster that emoji over articles of drowning migrants.
There will ALWAYS be an 'other'. The rich and powerful need it for the masses.
EVERYONE is going to be Rumi for Halloween.
Are real journalists allowed in anymore?
He probably does speak English.
Which is no advantage when speaking to Trump.
38%.
38% are all for a corrupt, petty, fascist paedophile who'd sell out the country to Putin in a heartbeat if it meant justice didn't find him.
Russia and China must be laughing their tits off.
'Make America Great Again' he said.
And yet it looks weaker than it's ever done since 1776.
My wife, in her haste, forgot the ice pack for her back. So I hauled it for 25 minutes across town, wrapped in a teatowel.
Which means - for 25 minutes - I was ready for my trip across the Galaxy.
Nobody came.
One more heartbreak in the voyage of life.
