Mine magically came back, after I forgot to take the disk out, and it kept just probing the drive. I then got to do a live performance Solaris install at retrofest (very much not on purpose).

Getting published is very cool however.
Sounds like fun, are you DJing at it?
If it loads the kernel fine, depending on the kernel version, it might want a bootparamd instance running somewhere. So it can grab its config telling it where the nfs root is.
Those sunray terminals are very cool.
when the kernel loads, it ignores everyone of those options and expects to get its config via bootprarmd. Bootprarmd also needs portmapd running, so it works correctly.
I seam to remember it's dhcp client would reject a lease if it did not have all the dhcp options set that it expects. It would just look like it failed to get an address. I think you will also need a copy of bootparamd running somewhere in boardcast mode. As dispite settting the options via dhcp 1/2
Its a pain in the arse, at least your rpm supports dhcp so your not stuck with reverse arp.
Where they put there by a man, in a factory down town ?
The A3000 was an incredible machine at the time.
I did enjoy small prophets, wonderman I've struggled to get into a bit. I've just started watching Paradise, I'm 2 episodes in, so far so good.
People will tell you now the Amiga won the 16-bit generation. But the Amiga launch was a disaster and the one you were supposed to buy didn't arrive for 2 years.
Here's what really happened.

The RM nimbus was the first PC I ever got to use at school too. Thanks to @petescircuit.bsky.social I have one the new case 186 machines that I'm going todo a video on at some point.
They created the prefect trophy for that, a hand clawed around the world dragging it down into the bowls of hell. As metaphors go is very on the nose. Its was just missing some screaming souls.
I've been making videos once again, as I have a habit of doing. This one is a bit of an epic, in that it's the longest video I've ever made. However, there is an awful lot to cover when doing the full history of the PC.

Last I heard, he was touring with a live rock show. So I think that might well count as living his best life.
Nice to see some channels I watch in there, and some I need to add to my to watch list.
Even for amazon, the fine would be scary. The maximum amount is 4% of global turnover. Not profit but turnover, it's a system designed to scare even big global enterprises into behaving.
I try to avoid it whenever possible.
I assume this is only something they are doing in the US, as that would be a significant breach of GDPR here in the UK and the EU. The potential fines for that could be eye watering even for Amazon.
I think I might have accidentally made some vitamin D this morning.
I think it's a much that you keep calling it histories worse console however.
Sorry Jonny but you now must stay there, it's the law.
New 2nd channel video. It's a follow-up to a main channel video, about using kubernetes to host a number of retro services. At the end of the original video, I added 2 extra nodes but did not have a solution to share storage across the cluster. Well, I now have a solution youtu.be/xTN7-rzgBks?...
I encounted one in Liverpool museum running an interactive display in the early 2000s which was pleasant to see in the wilde. Different design than I had seen before, it was off white (although it might have started life a just white), and had a floppy drive in addition to the cd-drive.
The only PM we have ever had that ran away from the circus to become an accountant.
I knew that somehow involved hell demons.
Well, I did not have this down on my 2026 bingo card. Well done Sam.
Is anyone else looking forward to seeing what kit he is going to build for this song?

Ah, yes, the clout a gil can famously acquire as long as they are into doom.
I think you might have used all the CPUs on that one.
