Iโ€™m a teacher and I think itโ€™s weird. I wouldnโ€™t do it. Unless thereโ€™s something sheโ€™s not saying, like a scheduled surgery or overwhelming stress. Teachers donโ€™t generally want to disrupt a school year. OTOH if they feel unappreciated or poorly treated by government, the loyalty may not be there.

Have you tried audible? Listening to a book is a pretty good distraction while you fall asleep and can be popped back on if you wake up thinking. Mine has frozen, dooming me to a bit of scrolling.

The atmosphere has certainly changed within education. Nobodyโ€™s going to kill themself to be a superhero anymore. The phrase I hear most is that โ€œwe do the best we can.โ€ Thereโ€™s a real sense of resignation, at least with those closer to the end than the beginning of a career. Sad but true.

A little strange to call it a โ€œChristian prayer breakfastโ€ then state that people of all faiths are welcome. ๐Ÿค”

I order light cheese, light sauce from my neighbourhood place. It works about half the time.

Yes, and better March than summer.

Me, too. Unfortunately the shower, laundry, dishes, plants and cleaning canโ€™t wait another month before being addressed again. Oh well.

Dreading the resumption of water restrictions in YYC tomorrow. I always try to be mindful itโ€™s stressful having to think so much about it.

I have a fair commute to work. Topped up the tank on my way daily last week in the hopes of avoiding a huge sticker shock. Iโ€™m dreading seeing the price tomorrow morning.

How early must one sleep to feel okay leaping out of bed at 6am the day after a time change? Iโ€™m trying to convince myself that bedtime is in sight, but Iโ€™m not feeling it.

I went for mushrooms last week and came home with a dishwasher ๐Ÿคฃ. Full disclosure- been watching dishwasher prices since my last repair in August. The price was very good.

I took many years of French as a student in small town English Canada. Decades later I was confronted with my only opportunity to prove myself when a museum clerk in Lebanon greeted me with โ€œEs -tu francaise?โ€œ I was so shocked I only managed to mutter, โ€œUn peu.โ€ Not, โ€œmais nonโ€ - โ€œun peu.โ€ ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

Only the stove and microwave left at my house and they were remarkably easy. Iโ€™ll address the analog wall clock at work tomorrow.

I assume that those who agree with the separatists have signed already. Hopefully they fizzle away quietly into the night. Unfortunately, theyโ€™ve shown themselves ready to embrace the next fringe idea and sow chaos.

Why is Trump wearing a hat for a dignified transfer? My veteran grandpa wouldnโ€™t have worn one in a legion.

but the winters. I find the UCP appalling but Iโ€™d sure miss the chinooks!

I was too busy to notice but I wondered why I had to sign back in this evening.

Try the cheese buns! The bulgogi is not bad either.

Sure, we lost a record number of Albertans, but we got to enjoy our freedom to be unvaxed. Stupid UCP!

I think cutting AISH is a special kind of conservative evil. The UCP have no concern for anything that doesnโ€™t rhyme with boil or hype line.

Frozen bricks of potato soup.

Frozen bricks of potato soup.

Iโ€™m dropping some lunches off for an ailing friend today. Nothing beats planning ahead.

Where do Jamaican patties fit in or Nigerian meat pies?

Not sure if you care but you can buy onigiri molds at Asian grocery stores and make your own. You can also shape them by hand. We lived in Japan when my kid was young, so I spent years making onigiri once we moved home.

Theyโ€™ve also paid a lot of severance to AHS folks. and spent a fortune breaking AHS into 4 agencies with a fifth to coordinate them.
