It might also be worth getting a cloud lifter to use with your dynamic mics, so you are able to push the volume of the mic into the pre amp and hear more of the character. Especially for the whispering performance
The brighter neve 1073 could work but it wouldn't be my first choice, and I'd stay away from an API style pre (rounder) or a 610b (darker) sound. If I were engineering your vocals I'd want a preamp that would really emphasize those upper harmonics without sounding too Pop.
For your vocal style, I'd really recommend getting an "harder" sounding pre like a ln SSL channel strip or a Neve 5316.
