Extremely disappointing to hear how @uniofaberdeen.bsky.social senior management remain intransigent on actually resolving disputes with @ucu.org.uk and adhering to the Fair Work policy as they try to force through changes on an unreasonably short timescale without involving staff properly
I *guess* it makes sense if you think of measuring racial disparities as a numerical exercise (the rote nature of those approaches are why the 'cottage industry' of "disparities research" may be vulnerable to "GenAI", IMO)

I’m pleased to see @zackpolanski.bsky.social standing firm on drugs legalisation - if they actually cared about the lives of white working class men they’d be seeking solutions, as drug related deaths are 3x higher in the 93% white North East than London with deprived areas being by far the worst

Totally agree, and can see you've done exceptionally well in ensuring a university doesn't pay disingenuous lip-service to it. I signpost students to the best practitioner groups in the legal profession, to protect them against the sector's toxicities. They certainly helped me!
