The burden of representation among #AAPI filmmakers is enormous so I was skeptical going into #Didi, written and directed by #SeanWang. But I was IMPRESSED. The screenplay, the directing, the acting: 100. I believed every moment and it made my husband cry, thrice.

Friggin loved #Conclave - a movie made for actual adults, it cured my jet lag. Edward Berger made some bold visual choices, and they all paid off. He even kept Ralph Fiennes from over-acting, which reminded me that Ralph is more than a mustache-twirling Voldemort. Bravo!

Loved #ThePenguin, one of my favorite shows of the year. However, I didn't feel the third act of the season finale was quite earned though. Yes, the show worked hard to lay pipe for this moment, but emotionally, I didn't buy it.
