Oh my fucking God. He makes EVERYTHING about himself.
Oh my fucking God. He makes EVERYTHING about himself.
Oh shit is he not on Twitter anymore? Dude I am so out of the loop
Keep posting here. Love your stuff but I can't bring myself to check that Nazi site anymore
What the fuck are we doing? This is like textbook evil
This just shattered me to read.
Just brutal from WEEI every year
But I think both myself and Derrick are making the point that, even if the outcome comes with it's fair share of negatives (none of us are disagreeing about that,) that's the nature of societal progress. A good society should REGULATE that progress but you can't stop it forever. It's inevitable. 2/2
I think I get what you're focused on. You're making the point that the previous monopolies didn't disappear, they were just transferred to a different and more predatory owner. And in a capitalistic society, that's more relevant because the entire goal is to own the whole means of production. 1/
Homie. You have yet to, in any of these posts, clarify your point as anything except the inference I'm making. I'm waiting for it. Maybe you're a econ theorist, I'm not. I do not know if there is a way to have progress while not eliminating archaic and outdated production methods. If you do, tell me
Because you aren't answering the fundamental argument. You keep saying "that's not what I'm saying" when it is what you're saying. Just saying "remember the craftsmen" isn't an argument for alternatives. You're still arguing against advancement in production because of who it benefits.
So we need to unnecessarily keep costs high so as to keep archaic forms of production intact? I'm sorry, it's a bad take. History agrees. I'm with you on the monopoly argument in principal, but in practice you are arguing to dead-end progress to help the few, not the many.
This take acts as if the only beneficiaries are the producers, not the consumers. We can take a skeptical look at quality all day of mass production, I'm sure we'll agree on more points than we disagree. But costs dropped and consumers /greatly/ benefitted.
They did but they'll be wrapping support soon. Nagash was a thing they had in their back pocket for years, so releasing him tells me they are running out of ideas and steam. And they'll transition full focus to 40K.
I do, and they rock. Its a good proving ground for 40K no doubt, but it does feel like a shame its gonna get left behind for 40K again
I don't detest it, but it sucks seeing that Warhammer fantasy is going to get left behind /again/
Honestly, look no further than the language people are using today. Engagement and social media culture bled into the way people talk to each other.
Also, yes, forum culture was peak internet. The internet is monopolized by 3 different companies now, and they all blew up when social media did.
I can't say I speak from experience, but engagement on socials looks like it can be exhausting at scale.
They could take money right out of our pockets in broad daylight and they'd still say the Democrats did it. ๐
G Gundam? Its my favorite. Its dumb, its ridiculous. But I guess it does go out of its way to show the awful state of the world and the kids in it.
But it's certainly not the main takeaway.
Dude will do anything, and I mean anything, to excuse Russia.
They fired Lisa Cook from the federal reserve. Shattered the independence of the Fed and the dollar is currently in freefall. All Robert's efforts to shield the Fed led to nothing. Something about leopards and faces, even at SCOTUS
I enjoy the fuck out of Paradox strategy games but boy howdy, do they have some problematic fans lol
I used to have a lot of respect for Jake Tapper. If he wants to write a book then God bless him, but my lord its like gluing advertisements to your eyelids with this book on CNN. Can't see anything else.
The whole precept of Part 1 is about love. Joel saves Ellie because he loves her as a surrogate daughter. In my eyes at least it shows us how something so universally understood to be good can cause us to do awful things. Doing the wrong thing for the right reasons.
We both know why. The same reason they shut down USAID. They gotta get TWO yachts this year instead of one!
We're trying over here, Dan. Not everyone's given up
