Happy to see our work finally out!
A PhD chapter that I'm very proud of is finally out in @ecol-evol.bsky.social!π¦
Using nestbox cameras from 4 countries, we explored interactive effects of habitat quality &weather on provisioning &prey composition πͺ±πͺ²πin Little Owls -a rapidly declining farmland raptor.

#iwsg2025 Is over, and I already missed it. Happy that so many people wanted to chitchat with me about my vaporware poster about 3D nest morphology, or about our( @dillensegerg.bsky.social ) project about Andean shorebird breeding timing! See you next year @waderstudy.bsky.social !
Throwback to 2021, when me and @dillensegerg.bsky.social had the honor to be invited to participated in the chaccu, the roundup of the vicuΓ±a to shear the wool. It was hard to chase them while running at >4.500 meters of elevation near Arequipa!

Our collaborative project #BDBORS exploring the link between nesting phenology and substrate property, is still ongoing, with collected data in Asia and America. You monitor ground-nesting birds in tropics? Then consider joining us! Contact me :) #ornithology #birds #tropicalecology

JUST OUT! π¨ Time capsule birds' nests! πͺΉ
I'm proud to share our discovery of layers of vintage plastic in urban birdsβ nests... going back decades in time! π
βYou flip through these nests like through pages of a history book, uncovering the past.β π
Let's dive in! π§΅π 1/x

By only considering a single ecological trait for each species, we risk oversimplifying the complexity in nature.
A new special feature in @animalecology.bsky.socialΒ aims to build a better understanding of intraspecific variation

For my first post here, i can't help but repost how I'm still collecting data for this project!
If you have a digital camera and works with breeding shorebirds, please contact me! (Even here)
Otherwise, repost please!
