I watch CCC regularly and, yes, there are often sharks. Usually nurse and lemon, but once there was a hammerhead!

Very cool!
Where do you find fossils of this age in SC? I've hunted for Oligocene fossils down by Charleston, but nothing older than that.
Is it wrong that I initially thought these were photos of chicken nuggets? (Props to paleontologists! I would *never* have seen this and thought "that looks like a lizard skull.")
I've been watching @coralcitycamera.bsky.social regularly for the past 8 months or so and, with few exceptions, I struggle to identify hamlet species. It's good to know there might be a reason for it.
Anything that's not about great whites or bull sharks. They're cool and all, but that's all I ever see in docs. Give me content on the ones that don't show up in When Sharks Attack: thresher sharks, greenland sharks, bonnethead sharks . . .
The head of a sleeping brindle greyhound showing her teef.
As an academic publisher and a brindle greyhound owner, I can confirm.
Fascinating! More useful facts.
This is why I follow paleontologists, even though I'm a musicologist--practical fossil information!
New question: how big did these dolphins get? Are they larger than modern dolphins?
A smiling woman holding a fossil dolphin ear bone.
Ashby Gale identified it as
cf. Tursiops, (definitely a delphinid periotic). He also gets the photo credit.
Thanks to one of your posts, I recognized a funny rock I found as a dolphin ear bone while on a fossil trip last year. Much appreciated.
As he should!
This is the best thing ever! I wish either of my kids were this excited about dinos.
Nice! I love the Pratchett-y sense of humor.
Recently finished OverLondon by @georgepenney.bsky.social. Now I can't wait for the sequel.

I think Faceytalk might be my favorite. Muffin is the real deal.
If you see this, post a gif from one of your comfort shows
Pocket Shark.
Please do.
These are the new lyrics to Die Forelle. I don't make the rules.

Congratulations!
Nicely done! Macarons are the only fancy baking I can do, but Iโve never done dual fillings. ๐
Thank god he only wrote one opera.
The dude either wrote folk music or violin/horn music and stuck words under it. He never understood how to write for the voice.
Why are you getting emails from my father?
A slender tropical wrasse. It is mostly white with two horizontal black stripes running from head to tail and a yellow and red tail. It is called a slippery dick.
I was watching @coralcitycamera.bsky.social and trying to identify the types of fish. This is how I learned of the "slippery dick." I have questions . . .
