I mean, I think season 5 is the second best season, so at least that far, haha. And I have nostalgia up until Infinite Earths, at which point I fell off every show pretty much, even the ones I still enjoyed.
Honestly, it starts fine, and there are some high points like the prison arc, but man, lots of baffling stuff ahead.
In season 6 of Arrow now, the start of a two-year stretch of "What in god's name is this show doing anymore?"
βΌοΈ hi i could use some help βΌοΈ
i have about 100 books left to send from my last kickstarter & am out of $ for shipping. iβm also slightly short on rent. iβve been putting off asking for help for A While bc iβm embarrassed about it, but i really want to get peoplesβ books to them asap, & i need help
Still hoping to fill up more of my year, so a reminder I'm still open to new writing and flatting projects!
This is a Nazi move. Stripping people of rights, invalidating their IDs, setting them up for criminalization and imprisonment.
If you don't support trans rights, you support fascism.
Still downright eerie how good a job Supergirl did casting young Kara and Alex.
Sometimes, you don't notice an incongruity in a book until it's too late and just have to go "well, hope nobody notices this but me!"
Why yes, I am still shilling myself! Come see me at Emerald City E-17 next weekend!
Cordelia gets done so dirty in season 4 of Angel, I hate it!
Back to Xenoblade Chronicles X because of the Switch 2 Edition and I have no idea what is happening with the combat system after 10 months away lol.
Supergirl kneels in rubble, her cape draped over her left shoulder. A glowing red eye peaks out behind her curtained hair as she holds up a gigantic chunk of concrete
DC Solicits for May are here, and Iβm excited to share my cover for SUPERGIRL #13. In shops May 13th π«π₯
And if you arenβt already checking this series out, I highly recommend picking it up. @mooncalfe1.bsky.social has been building such a great Kara story with this one.
I struggle with this a lot because it really is impossible to know what's going on behind the scenes. You just have to have faith you've done the work, both on the page and as a collaborator, to stay in an editor's mind and at least be part of the conversations. In the meantime, just keep at it.
You can be at the level you need to be and you can stay on the grind, and it still can come down to what feels like an infinite wait. Of course, nobody's entitled to one of the few opportunities out there, but it's absolutely tough keeping at it in the face of silence.
I'll also be tabling at ECCC in a couple weeks, so a great chance to meet new folks in person!
The IDW Star Trek and Defiant were my favorite ongoings while they were running, so immensely excited to see a new era starting for the line.
It's also why I feel fine reposting stuff a hundred times, if someone isn't there the moment you post something, it feels like it's immediately lost to the ether.
I've realized the way Bluesky loads posts in comparison to the old place makes it fundamentally harder to stay engaged with for me. It was easier catching up on the timeline than having to scroll back through it.
It'd be nice to see you there!
