They canโt grasp that people arenโt just performing and looking for attention like they were.
So many of these artists known for playing with gender expression are falling down the anti-trans rabbit hole (Cherie, Alice Cooper, Dee Snider) and Iโm just likeโฆ have you looked in the mirror? I guess for them, it was a way to be offensive.

Intersectionality isnโt this A or B thing, thatโs the whole point! But any concept of intersectionality goes out the window for the bisexuals.
Exactly! Maybe they wanted bi folks to downplay their problems and performatively talk about their relative privilege every time they speak on it? Everyone has privilege relative to others, but itโs treated like an exclusively bi thing that must be acknowledged at all times.

I shit you not, someone on TikTok last year was going on about how โthe bis I know donโt complain, because theyโre actually secure!โ like it was some gotcha. As if lack of inclusion isnโt also tied with poor mental health outcomes and who can get adequate help when they need it.
People who arenโt bi project a lot of their insecurities onto us, but we get yelled at whenever we open our mouths. Weโre all insecure in some ways, but putting words in our mouths and denying the reality of bisexuality (being attracted to multiple genders is inherently queer!) gets us nowhere.
Thatโs the thing with political lesbianism - itโs very conservative! My fellow bisexuals just want to 1) have the heinous shit we deal with actually be acknowledged, and 2) exist without constant scolding! But no, weโre just whiny and want everyone to tell us weโre valid, apparently?!

Iโll always be thankful that they licensed Claudine by Riyoko Ikeda, My Lesbian Experience With Loneliness and Kabiโs other titles, and so much shojo and josei that the other publishers wonโt touch. But Iโll be treading carefully from here on out.
This is so fucked. Iโve really appreciated the variety of titles Seven Seas has licensed over the years, thereโs really been something for almost every audience. But this is such a slap in the face. If AI becomes involved in their translations, a large portion of that audience is gone.

Cancer is one of those things thatโs very complicated. Iโm interested if thereโs a link, and Iโll read those studies. But as a survivor myself, thereโs a lot of misinformation about cancer, and these genetic changes can also happen by just living your life, you know?
Iโm definitely willing to have a look! But even abstract is saying that Covid infection can reawaken dormant cancer cellsโฆ in mice. Research definitely needs to be done, and Iโm glad itโs being done! But definitive statements like โCovid gives you cancerโ is misleading.
