Right after my son asked for details about where babies come from, which came with info about all kinds of families, he asked, in the grocery store, at top volume, "if two daddies want a baby where do they put the penis!" ๐
Still easier than explaining global warming.
I ate too much chocolate and I'm not hungry for lunch but if I go to work with having just eaten only chocolate I'll die or more likely faint. So I'm forcing myself to eat lunch and it's gross.
I did the same thing. I think we're outliers, lol.
Arizona is such an embarrassing place but at least we don't change our clocks.
My partner sleeps later than me and I can hear him when he gets up. But sometimes I hear the exact same sounds and we're both in the same room. I'm semi convinced that this house is haunted or we have an uninvited guest living in the attic.
When I find myself getting caught like that I move the icons into new places, and put a drawing app or something where social media was before.
Getting tons of sleep is so good, I hope you can get rest!
Replaying subnautica for the zillionth time. Getting eleven hours of sleep a night. Chocolate.
Summer of Night was one of my favorite horror novels as a kid but not worth staying a fan of a racist jerk.
I was hoping some authors would see this and self-promo, thank you!
Thank you!
Can anyone recommend some good middle grade ish sci fi? I just finished Katherine Rundell's Impossible Creatures and the sequel, and I want more but more sci fi than fantasy. I've very much enjoyed the themes of friendship without romance being a major part of the story. #kidlit #scifi ๐
I had a therapist that said it's not your fault for getting the flu but you don't go to another person's home and vomit on the couch. It's your responsibility to take care of your illness.
All these anti ICE reels are using Mumford and Sons "White Blank Page" as the soundtrack and I just wonder, am I the only one that feels like that is 100% an incel song?
It's snowing and the sun is out. ๐
I finished the first book in a series and now I have no motivation to do anything until the library opens tomorrow and I can get the next one.
I live in a dark sky city and it's incredible but also scary to drive at night.
In novels there are people who are suddenly in a different world and supposedly they know by the stars but if it was me I'd just be like, oh well I can't find the dippers like 80% of the time I'm sure we're still on earth and I'm just bad at stars.
Omfg
Big same
Project Hail Mary!!!! If you havenโt read that, read it before movie comes out. Sooooo good.
A lot of people in these comments are more excited about blaming a 20 year old kid for burning to death than the billionaire nazi who made door handles harder to use.
jfc get some empathy
It would be funny that I've had two successful careers and both of them have been destroyed by AI if it wasn't so heartbreaking and enraging.
Do graphic designers still primarily use illustrator or is there some other tool that is currently more marketable?
Iโm *extremely concerned* about the way folks are reforming their image of the cops in light of everything thatโs happening, even though we only have a handful examples of them disagreeing with ICE, while still being responsible themselves for the murders of Black and brown people across the country
Fucking right
Since I am WAY late to fund me Friday, I'm going to keep this up through the weekend.
In honor of Link who remains unjustly banned, I am doing Fund Me Friday. Drop your links in this thread and letโs get some needs met!
If you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or in despair, I highly recommend reading middle grade fantasy. An epic story of good vs. evil, where the unexpected hero must be courageous, and in the end wins, is a balm for the soul. Which stories would you recommend? Share them below.
