Having both maya and blender in your skillset is nothing but a boon.
In the year 2026, I do not think that 3D game art courses should be pushing maya as THE ONLY industry standard software. I've encountered a lot of studios in the last 3 years that are looking for artists with blender experience because studios want to cut costs.
