I posted a long researched thread to social media about DC government buying the USDA building for DC free Museums (eg geology, coins, paper note money, stamps, taxidermy, etc) & hotels for visiting the national mall & for Golf next to the Jefferson Memorial, & now I can’t find it!

The DCSWF C-130 would ideally use a transfer airport with drastic fuel supplies, 1000 miles from the threatened or damaged airports. C-130 would collect ~180 people from closed airports & fly 1000 miles for immediate transfer to B737 to A320/319/321 for another ~1000+ mile leg out of danger zone.
In the Persian Gulf crisis, a DCSWF C-130 would have to fly from DC region (likely Maryland BWI) to Maine (eg Bangor airport) to refuel, & possibly load pre-staged supplies not available in Europe, fly to Newfoundland to refuel, fly to Northern Ireland or Wales UK, refuel & fly to bus storage.
DCSWF firms would have to price what it costs to buy, own, & emergency replace self-insured C-130s & buses etc, cost to fly C-130s from disasters to functional international airports, & charge fair market prices. Auctioning seats to rich people to pay for also carrying injured etc, is vital payment.
US school buses have center line emergency exit rear doors crucial for loading stretchers for medevac, so DCSWF would have to buy or build such C-130 school buses for moving patients from hospitals to emergency evacuation airports.
So how would future fee based DCSWF emergency evac work?
Boeing might restart its C-17 manufacturing, but no idea which decade that might be.
Future DCSWF firms can buy C-130 cargo airplanes #C130 #LC130, & that might work if DC had vehicles for C-130s to bring. C-130s can only carry long, but not tall, buses & fire engines & trailers, so DCSWF use them.
As much as I would like DCSWF to own C-17 cargo airplanes, there are reportedly none manufactured in years. US UK Canada Australia Kuwait Qatar NATO etc would have to willingly haul the pairs of known good buses in to collect people in a crisis zone, & even drive them long haul to safer airports.
