100,000 trans people & allies fill central London for Trans Pride.
Mainstream media: nothing
Thousands of trans people & allies fill Wembley Arena for pro-trans gig with massive names like Sophie Ellis-Bextor & Sugarbabes.
Mainstream media: nothing.
This is what extreme media bias looks like.

Insanely high frame-rate live rotoscoping for an ad β¦. where else? Japan.
Made for the defunct fashion brand Renown in 1988.
Love this.
(A-haβs Take On Me was 1985, used the same technique, but a much lower-frame rate as rotoscoping is highly labour intensive)

Fucking hell.
At least Lex Luthorβs tech pitches to the public were subtle.
The shark has truly jumped.

The DVD is insane. Has remixed versions of all 6 episodes and so many odd Easter eggs you unlock with the remote. If I recall correctly, thereβs a version that just bounces around the screen for no reason.

Funland (TV Mini Series 2005) β 8.1 | Comedy, Drama, Mystery
1h
I do think 1995-2005 was a peak era for subversive British comedy series. It was an excellent petri-dish for homegrown weirdness.
If you were ever into Nighty Night, Psychoville or Phoenix Nights, try and watch FUNLAND - the forgotten unhinged Blackpool miniseries.

I hope to god itβs better than that Gore Verbinski film GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN, DONβT DIE that thinks homage is ripping off Black Mirror, Zombieland and Terminator 2.
The fact it leaned into its own smugness, pissed me right off.

Looking forward to Project Hail Mary this weekend.
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are best contemporary enfants terrible youβll get in Hollywood that have carved a commercial furrow with their kooky stubbornness.

In better news, I saw EVERYBODY TO KENMURE STREET this evening and the kinda documentary that rouses the activist in me, and makes you think of what more you can be doing to help your community.
Love a bit of peaceful social disobiedience.

Warner Bros: How Hollywood and Trump aligned over Paramount takeover
Paramount beats Netflix to the major deal, pleasing figures in DC and LA alike, the BBC's culture and media editor writes.
Great article about why the Paramount buyout of Warner Bros may not be a good things after all.
Lots I didnβt consider in this.

Iβve struggled with verbal tics on and off for the last twenty years, and whilst not on the scale of Johnny, this is exactly what happens.
Itβs shameful, compounded by how other people react. Canβt imagine what Johnny Davidson feels whilst heβs put through the public outrage and media wringer.
