I think Nintendo had everyone else outplayed by the Wii era, whether or not anyone knew it at the time. Initially consoles and PCs had to focus on different hardware because it wasn't reasonable to have a general purpose computing device that could ALSO do games at a reasonable cost.
I like to think of it as a sort of bag version of the Matrix where the container bag is The One and gets special privileges but there isn't any real reason and when it's the last one I allow it to select from the next set of bags to find the next One and the cycle continues.

I wouldn't look for recommendations from someone who has a completely different set of tastes from me, that wouldn't make any sense. Training people for tasks and teaching them things maps that information to human senses, and those humans have a better chance of communicating it than a machine.
I think the thing he's really glazing over here is what "training" they're trying to remove from the equation. Like if we could completely do away with warehouse picking, that's cool. Nobody WANTS to do that. Art? Literature? Music? Engineering itself? We get value out of training PEOPLE for that.
