Managed a few hours when we got home, then up for a bit rearranging getting the teenager home. Sprout incredibly well last night though, which was brilliant!!

I slept like a baby last night. Really peaceful and for hours and hours. Tired from the chemo but this is positive. Rest day today and time to shave my head. I'll post before/after I think. Thank you for the continued messages of support, it's really does make a difference. 🙏🙏

Thanks so much for the lovely good wishes that came my way yesterday. It was a very long day with ups & downs. The good news is I was fit to take a full dose of chemo drugs. The less fun part was ending up in the emergency room later on. Got home to bed about 2am so pretty tired! We made it though!

Ok big girl pants time this morning. I'm off shortly for my first round of new chemo. Feeling a bit sick from anxiety but generally good. I have my boxset and game recommendations to keep me busy so thank you people!

Time to try and get some sleep. Up early tomorrow and the car has to be dropped for its MOT and service before my clinic appointment. Who will come out of the service better, the car, or me? 🤣

If this is true, it's the end of my Audible subscription. Why the hell would I pay for a non-human to 'perform' art? The beauty is in the tone, the crack in the voice, the simple act of passing a tale from one human to another orally, as we've done for centuries.

The conquering hero returns from school with his first exam paper done and he seems reasonably happy. Answered all the questions and didn't stress out so yay! I'm very proud and feeling very grateful to be here for this moment. When I got my dx we didn't think I would be. 🥰🙏

Some nice news to cheer me up before the big day tomorrow. The amazing chair we bought for our living room, expected in August, is being delivered next week 😁
This is excellent news as not only is it pretty, it reclines! It'll be me, my book and some light snoring!

I can't believe that I have a GCSE age child. Wow that happened quickly! He's off for his very first official exam this morning 🤞🤞🤞

I don't know why I'm shocked.

My 15 year old really wanted to learn to cook a 'full English'. With my guidance he did that for brunch today and I'm so proud of him for providing a really tasty meal for the 3 of us, the old fashioned way. No air fryer or other gadgets were allowed as he needs practice for camping.

I managed to limit myself to activities in the morning and reading time in the afternoon. Helping the teenager with some revision too but that's peaceful.

Haha thank you for that. It's me all over. I was non-stop before I got sick and that's been the biggest adjustment for me. I have definitely learned to slow down but I've mostly had it forced upon me by my body. My mind on the other hand... 😂😂

Thank you. It really is hell. I don't know what to do with myself. It's kind of hilarious. We moved home around 2.5 months ago and there are now all these little jobs to do or things in the wrong place etc and I keep thinking ooh I could do that.. I haven't started yet and you watch me overdo it 😂

Arrived at the clinic for the day for my blood transfusion. Hopefully by the end of the day I'll be able to actually see properly and will be on my way to getting strong enough for treatment next week. 🤞🤞🤞 #cansky
