Also, are people getting grants because they slid extra info in their biosketch? I doubt it

This is how our admin also interpreted it, but I feel like itβs pretty useless. I donβt think reviewers will know which sentence matches which paper and which ones might not have been cited.
Iβm not saying its enough, but SRCD did send out this email, but it doesnβt seem to be posted anywhere else: contentsharing.net/actions/emai...
Right!?! We're getting the advice to be extra cautious and not include any in-text citations, but then the narrative feels weird and inaccurate without them?
The new NIH Biosketch instructions state that in the Contributions to Science: "you can reference up to five products" but that "no citations allowed". Thoughts on whether we should remove all in text citations to be safe, or whether this strictly refers to the lists of citations? #NIH #NIHGrants
Our department is hiring! We're looking for a cognitive/developmental psychologist who uses computational approaches to study human cognition and behavior to address learning, development, and education. Feel free to reach out with questions!
Yes! Sometimes it just doesn't let me upload a new file? Then I give up and try again another day.
We use redcap! Itβs not perfect, but I think we have a decent working system. Maybe letβs zoom about it so I can explain the process?
The new #NSF #GRFP application now excludes 1000βs of students, including those who were told they could apply this year, or who planned to apply next year.
We have a new specific petition urging #NSFGRFP undo this harmful action. If you are impacted sign here: laurenkuehne.github.io/grfpChanges/

We want to record a set of stimuli featuring children, thoughts on how to do this so they can be shared/reused? Does a parental release like for data sharing on e.g. Databrary suffice? Do you situate it inside a "task" so the consent process is clearer? #devscisky #psychsky

Just sent this as an email to my department but figured I'd share more broadly in case it is useful. This describes the procedure happening now for science funding in Congress (@davidimiller.bsky.social can correct me if I got this wrong). Importantly, there are still actions that can be taken.
I disagree
This is a fabulous question
Yup, 8 and 5yos here, who have only heard about it from school

Done! I think it's a good sign that their DC mailboxes are full and/or giving busy signals?
Tenure clock extensions are a great deal for the institution. Not so much for the faculty member
