Casual reminders:
Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is a lie.
Environmentalism needs to include anti-poverty and anti-racism activism.
Children are a marginalized and under-protected population.
Disability activism is vital.

My kid's eclairs hilariously do not resemble the product description.
End result:
A subscription box for Baketivity showing that the bake of the month is robot-decorated eclairs.
For reference:
Any other parents in the #baketivity trenches because their own parents found out you're teaching your kid basic cooking skills and got excited so now you're trying to make robot eclairs?
In case you're like, "Why does this gorgeous music feel so nostalgic?" The composer is Alan Menkin. From "Beauty and the Beast." The OG!
Hi, hello. Why are we not talking about "Spellbound?" I literally watched it twice tonight. Freaking required viewing. New therapy homework.
Do you know Resistbot?
Now is a good time to get to know Resistbot. Better yet, now is a great time to donate to Resistbot.

Dear fellow white professionals attending trainings presented by Black professionals (specifically about, for example, understanding the impact of intergenerational trauma on black mental health):
It is not the presenter's job to reassure you that you're "one of the good ones."
Trying to find a new advertising style, got sick of my trope graphics. What do we think?
Finally watched "Nerdy Prudes Must Die" but my spouse was asleep so I have no one to talk to about it so I binged fan animatics instead. #starkid
This is awesome!
You're too kind! I don't want to do that to your whole stock. π
I don't think my wallet will survive if you start making art dolls. I already have to restrict how often I let myself gaze longingly at your store.

So following the message of St. Nicholas is about more than presents for your loved ones or immediate community. It's about identifying systemic injustice and being willing to fight for it, and examine the role your own privilege has played.
Blessed Feast Day, everyone. /5
St. Nicholas existed on both sides of privilege and discrimination. He knew wealth and acceptance; he knew disenfranchisment and persecution. Regardless of what side he was on, legends say he used what resources he had to help others - and even get into fistfights with other bishops. 4/
But he also decided to convert and become a priest during a time of Christian persecution. He was imprisoned for his faith. When he was released, Christianity was a recognized religion, which allowed him to become a bishop in a growing institution. 3/
For all those Christians complaining about "toxic empathy" recently, let's talk about why the legend of St. Nick is about social justice.
The story of Nicholas starts with him being born in a position of privilege. When he was orphaned he began to seek ways to use his wealth to benefit others. 2/
A prayer of St. Nicholas' Feast Day:
"Bring back to the right way of salvation all those who are living steeped in sin, blinded by darkness of ignorance, error, and heresy. Comfort the afflicted, provide the needy. Strengthen the fearful, defend the oppressed, give health to the infirm."π§΅

Matcha is trendy? That explains a lot, I've definitely seen more matcha than I ever have... Sometimes in ways that don't seem to make sense! π
And their descendants are with us today, and oh how often do we fail to see Jesus in them, even though Palestine has the oldest Christian communities. /8
