The OpenAI/Crusoe post by "Michael Su" is more than likely fake, and I've reached out to OpenAI to confirm. Image comes up as deepfaked in a scanner (questionable reliability but it's a data point), his URL is "michaelsermon" on LinkedIn, can't find history for him at any company he worked at.
We are aware of recent reports regarding targeted phishing attacks that have resulted in account takeovers of some Signal users, including government officials and journalists. We take this very seriously. 1/7

βCongress has not done its job on the legal safeguards,β Senator Slotkin, a Democrat from Michigan, told me. βThere are a number of senators whoβve taken a look at this but there seems to be no will to move forward because No. 1, people donβt understand A.I., but because, No. 2, weβve seen the entry of really big political money tied to A.I. Just like the crypto space, a lot of senators are scared to stick their neck out even though action is being demanded of us on this issue.β

A massive data center that wouldβve been powered by a 1.4GW natural gas plant was rejected in Alberta over a lack of public consultation and significant problems with its application.
βEven masks are becoming difficult to find. This is a huge mistake. I ask those who have the ability, especially foreign media, to reflect on this situation. What are people supposed to do under these conditions? This is truly a crime against humanity.β
You are mistaken, we do not respond to legal requests from anywhere other than the Swiss authorities.
It is unlikely that one could build a business through ignoring the laws of the jurisdiction that it is in. The mail provider you're moving to included.
It is true that Proton is located in Switzerland and responded to a legal request from the Swiss authorities. But it is also true that most people do not know what an MLAT is and there is a widespread misunderstanding that using Proton will protect your account from US govt requests.

want to follow the news but can't bear thinking about ordinary Iranians, who've been stuck under such an oppressive regime for so long, who maybe got a flicker of hope, briefly, a few months ago, then watched in horror as their friends and relatives got killed by the state, and now this, unspeakable
