Masks have been reinstated in NB, PEI, and NFLD health care facilities. NS Health & the IWK have been completely silent. On May 7, 2025, a memo was sent to Sr. Leadership stating universal maksing might return in response to "seasons of increased viral respiratory activity." We are in that season.

I'm just waiting for the news coverage in Nova Scotia that talks about low vaccine uptake but fails to comment on how quiet public health has been about availability. Not to mention there's been no education about the Covid vaccine.

If Quebec were to ban face coverings in public, this mask wearing immune compromised journalist would not be able to travel to Quebec. As Canadians, we have become accustomed to seeing such reactionary policies in the USA. But we should stand against such restrictions in Canada.
