Trying the new player movement and a quake level running on #Playdate
With only a d-pad and two buttons, it's not easy to design 3D controls that feel good, but I think I'm getting there.
I also started experimenting with jumping. I mean, Jumping Flash and Metroid Prime made it work, so why not? 😄

This seems like a really interesting mechanic!
Can the player move while their sonar is active? So players could sort of “dimension jump” through the red environment using the revealed blue environment?
